Chapter 6

“You told me that you were being taken to a mine to work. How long have you been on this ship?” Maggie sat on the bed with her legs tucked up under her. After breakfast she had been carried to the bathing room and allowed to shower. Then they had come back to the cell.

“I was captured seven weeks ago during a battle. My ship was boarded and then blown up once my men and I were transferred to this ship. My guess is that we have three to four more weeks before we reach Terrax,” Raharan answered.

“What will happen to me once we get there? Will they let me come with you?”

“You are mine. Where I go, you are going to be. The Xeltec know how territorial we are and are unlikely to try and separate us from the females they’ve given us.” A growl rumbled through his chest. Possessiveness radiated from him in waves. “I will fight for you if it comes to that.”

“Okay, so explain to me what happened in the cafeteria. I don’t want to make you angry again. What are the normal behaviors for a female?”

“Our females are submissive and are taught from a young age to be as such. Females that are claimed are not to respond to other males unless allowed by their masters. Do you not have these types of relationships on your planet?” He scowled.

“Some females allow a male to take a dominant role over their lives, but most are independent and are not restricted in any way by their males. Can you explain to me what you deem submissive? I want to make you happy when we’re together, so help me understand, please.” Maggie wrung her hands. She was getting the impression that their society had a very dominant/submissive feel to it with submissive females and dominant males. She had read quite a few romance novels with that kind of twist and actually enjoyed those types of fantasies. Fear skated down her spine as she thought through some of the things she’d read. She wasn’t sure she could actually become submissive enough if pain was going to be used on her.

“Our females, once claimed, serve their mate in all aspects. If we were in a home, you would prepare food, clean, keep our clothing clean. In our sexual relations you would submit to anything I want, giving me control of not only your body but of your release. In our society, the females are trained to not orgasm unless permitted.” He leaned forward and stroked Maggie’s cheek. The look of affection in his eyes made her heart beat faster. “In return we provide for the household. I would work and keep you safe.”

“That actually sounds similar to our society other than the sexual aspects. Most women are in charge of the household, taking care of the duties inside. Explain to me what I did wrong today.” She leaned her face into his caress. His strength seeped into her through the contact.
